Not just another tragic movie, The road is a post-apocalyptic tale of journey taken by a father and son towards the sea. The movie is a screen adaptation of the novel of the same name, written by a renowned American writer, Cormac McCarthy. The director John Hilton does a great job, directing the movie of such a big scale. Since I am writing The Road online movie review, let me even tell you about the star casts and the setting. The movie casts Viggo Mortensen and Kodi Smit-McPhee as the two major characters around which the whole story revolves: father and the son respectively. Both the star casts portray their character well. The setting of the movie is extremely gloomy which truly pictures the catastrophic situation of the landscape.

The novel written by Cormac, covers the experience of the father and the son on their way towards the sea and also throws light on the pathetic condition of the both. Since, this is The Road online movie review, I should tell you that you would be moved by the watching the bond of support and care between the two characters: the father and the son. The father coughs blood every morning and is about to die in a few days, however, he still tries hard to shield his son from threats and attacks. The journey aims to find few other people who would have remained alive after the disaster like them. However, the movie ends in a sad note bringing the death of the father.
